What is Dymos?
Dymos is a cloud-hosted SaaS (Software as a Service) for restaurants. It enables restaurant customers to phone ahead pickup and delivery orders. Dymos is available “pay as you go” or by subscription.
AI + IVR
Dymos is a hybrid of IVR (Interactive Voice Response) and chatbot, or “free-form” approaches. For IVR, Dymos breathes new life into this older technology by leveraging the power of AI. It guides your customers through the process of making orders from your restaurant – orders ranging from the simplest to the most complex.
Advantages oF AI + IVR
The benefit of this hybrid approach is that the IVR mode, also referred to as “guided experience”, works well for a large percentage of orders. During a Dymos IVR dialogue, the customer is always presented with a set of options.
Menu Discovery
Dymos always limits the number of IVR choices to 5 or less. Customers usually press #5 for “more options”. This allows the customer to listen to each of 4 options and then press #5 to get more options.
How Can My Restaurant set Up Dymos?
To Start, we furnish you your own Private “Dymos Phone #”. Anytime anyone dials this number they will be connected with the Dymos AI Agent for your restaurant.
There are two ways to let your customers use Dymos:
Option 1: Use call forwarding during your busy hours, or whenever you would like Dymos to handle your phone calls. You simply set call forwarding from your public phone # to your private Dymos phone #. When you want to stop using Dymos for the day, just turn off call forwarding.
Option 2: You give out your private Dymos phone # to your customers, who can call Dymos at any time to order from your restaurant. (Dymos will not take orders during your closed hours).
Important Note: Regardless of how you use Dymos, if one of your phone customers is on a call with Dymos and wants to reach you directly, they just press #0 and Dymos will transfer the call to the phone number you have designated – this can be you as owner or manager, or any designated member of your staff.
